Helping Rhinos is a UK based charitable organisation with a dual focus, best summarised by our mission statement:
“Creating awareness of the issues threatening the global rhino population
Raising funds to help protect them for future generations”
Formed in 1996 as a Colorado 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Vail Valley Charitable Fund assists Eagle County residents who are burdened financially due to a medical crisis.
At the Eagle Valley Land Trust, we are preserving the character of our community one acre at a time.
The Literacy Project of Eagle County is a non-profit organization that provides free tutoring to adults and children by training volunteers to be tutors. Our program services include individualized tutoring for adults and middle school students and family literacy.
Bicycles for Humanity is a non-profit organization based in Colorado that uses donated bicycles to address a fundamental barrier to development-mobility. Poor transport systems mean poor access to healthcare, education and economic opportunities. Bicycles delivered through community based bike shops provide sustainable mobility solutions for rural Africans. To date B4H Colorado has delivered over 6,000 bikes to small communities in Namibia, Zambia, Kenya and Tanzania; creating jobs and schools along the way.
Sustainable Cuisine is an empowering two-year program where students learn to grow their own art supplies in the garden and then use them to create culinary masterpieces in the kitchen. Along the way, they become ambassadors of a healthy food system and learn to use green business practices.
